Ingredients
2 x ready-to-roll short crust pastry350g chopped beef skirt
1 onion chopped
150g peeled & diced potato
150g peeled & diced swede
Cornish Sea Salt Roasting salt
1 beaten egg
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220C/200 fan.
- Mix the onion, beef, potato and swede in a large bowl, then generously season with Cornish Sea Salt Roasting blend.
- Roll out the dough and use a large plate to cut to shape. Put a quarter of the filling mixture in the centre of the circle, egg wash all the way round then pull one side over to meet the other. Crimp the edges using your finger and thumb, brush all over with egg to glaze, then place on a baking tray. Repeat the process to create 4 perfect Cornish pasties.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then turn down the heat to 180C/160 fan and cook for a further 45 minutes. Enjoy warm from the oven.
